Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb. In this post, i will explain how to dual boot Windows 7 and Linux Ubuntu in virtual box. Enjoy this post!
1. Open virtual box, click new icon à Fill the name and
choose Microsoft Windows in type coloumn and Windows XP (64 bit) in version coloumn, click next à Click
start
2. Set the size of RAM.
It can be minimal memory or more than minimal size which recommended
3. Choose “create
virtual hardisk now” à Click create
4. Click on VDI
(VirtualBox Disk Image)
5. Choose “dialokasikan
secara dinamik”
6. Set the size of
hardisk à Click create
7. Click start
8. Choose
X64_GRMCULXFRER_EN_DVD.iso by clicking the folder icon
9. Installing windows.
Customize the languange, time, and keyboard method.
10. Click Install now
11. Accept the lisence terms by clicking “I accept the lisence terms”
12. Click custom (advanced)
13. Click “New”. Set the size of hardisk which will partition à Click Apply
14. Click Next
15. Wait until installing windows has completed
16. Type a user name for
the account
17. Set a password for
the account
18. Click Next
19. Choose “use
recommended settings” to help protect the computer and improve Windows
automatically
20. Set up the date and time
21. Select the network
settings based on the network’s location
22. Preparing the desktop
23. Shut down the computer
24. Click the CD icon on
Drive CD/DVD and choose ubuntu-14.04.1....iso à Click the ubuntu 14.01.1....
in “Pengendali: IDE”
25. Choose Install ubuntu
26. Click Continue
27. Click Something else
28. Click
free space à Create partition by
clicking “+” à Set the size, type,
location, and use of partition
29. Create
a partition again with different size, type, and use
30. Tap twice the sda4 device
31. Select
the mount point with "/"
32. Click the sda4 device
33. Choose the time
setting, then click Continue
34. Choose the keyboard
layout, then click Continue
35. Fill the name,
computer’s name, username, and password. Then click Continue
36. Wait unting
installing has completed
37. Click Resart now
38. Congratulations! You
have done to create the dual boot windows Linux. GNU GRUB is the
screen from OS Ubuntu which use to process the dual boot between OS Ubuntu with
the other OS. If we choose “Ubuntu” then we go
into OS Ubuntu which has installed. If we choose “Windows 7 loader”
then we go into OS Windows which has installed.
